Synopsis: Parimal is born a boy, but there has always been another identity hidden within Parimal's male physical appearance. The only way out for him is to escape from his parents, his family, and his neighborhood in search of a world that did not seem so unidentifiable. In his quest, Parimal reaches a new city, Kolkata where he is welcomed by a transgender shelter. And Parimal soon becomes Puti. There, he meets Madhu and falls in love with him. As Madhu discovers more about Puti's physicality, he wonders how he could feel attracted to a woman who has a male body? Were these things even possible in reality? Will their love survive the guillotine of societal barriers?

Director Bio: A multiple award-winning screenplay writer and director, Kaushik Ganguly is noted for his work in Bengali cinema. Known for making films that explore sexuality, Kaushik made his directorial debut with ‘Waarish’ (2004). After his debut, over the years, he has directed more than 15 films and along the way has won several awards. Few of his most notable films include Laptop, which won the National Award for Best Background Music in 2011, ‘Shabdo’ (2012), which won the National Award for Best Bengali Film and ‘Chotoder Chobi’ (2015). His 2017 directorial venture includes ‘Chaya O Chobi’, a Bengali drama starring Abir Chatterjee, Koel Mallick and Ritwick Chakraborty. His recent releases include ‘Dhoomketu’, ‘Chhaya O Chhobi’, ‘Cockpit’, ‘Drishtikon’, ‘Ka Kha Ga Gh’a and ‘Kishore Kumar Junior’. His 2019 release includes ‘Nagarkirtan’and ‘Jyeshthoputhro’.
