6th Tue 7:00pm THE EIGHTH DAY OF THE WEEK (A hét nyolcadik napja) (2006/102mins) Dir. Udit Elek. The film tells the story of a 70-year-old newly homeless retired ballerina who finds love in a relationship that resurrects her life.
7th Wed 7:00pm KONYEC (Konyec - Az Utolsó Csekk A Pohárban) (2006/105mins) Dir. Gábor Rohonyi. Story about an elderly couple who turn to crime when they reach their 70th birthdays.
8th Thurs 7:00pm DOWN BY LOVE (Szerelemtol sújtva)(2003/90mins) Dir. Tamás Sas. In this suspense-filled drama, a young woman with a much older, married lover comes to some devastating realizations.
23rd Fri 7:00pm Sutra Ujutru (Tomorrow Morning)(Serbia/2006/85mins) Dir. Oleg Novkovic. The story explores the feelings, disappointments and hopes of young people and the continuous quest to find oneself in a world full of contradictions.
24th Sat 7:00pm ŠEJTANOV RATNIK (Sheitan's Warrior) (Serbia/2006/94mins) Dir. Stevan Filipovic. A bunch of Belgrade secondary school kids lay their hands on an old esoteric book which can be used to summon 'Sheitan's Warrior', a demon that was supposed to protect the Ottoman Empire during its last stand. Mayhem ensue and many students don't make it to the prom.
25th Sun 7:00pm ZVEZDE LJUBAVI' (Love Stars)(Serbia/2005/91mins) Dir. Milan Spasic. Story of Laza, a sensitive, romantic 20 yr old, who comes to a big city after a long period of isolation .
17th Sat 6:30pm LES SILENCES DU PALAIS (Tunisia/1994/127mins) Dir. Moufida Tlatli. Weaving together memory, music, desire and pain, the film is a sensitive portrayal of gender relations at a crucial moment in the emergence of post colonial Tunisia.
